Narrawallee

The existing main and ensuite bathroom were dated and unusable for the owners. They were delapidated and on the smaller side. The Ensuite had a tiny shower with a shower curtain which got stuck on their skin whilst having a shower. In addition, there was hardly any circulation space around the basin available to wash hands or brush teeth without bumping into the wall behind you. Lastly, the bathroom was lacking storage for basic items.

By removing part of the separating wall between bathroom and master bedroom we enlarged the ensuite slightly to make it more practical. Clever storage solutions have been implemented under the wall hung basin and a cabinet next to the toilet.

To increase circulation space even more within the ensuite, a back to wall facing toilet with a concealed cistern has been installed.

The original bathrooms had cream wall tiles and burgundy coloured floor tiles, and the taps and shower screen frame were in fake gold.
The new bathrooms has been tiled with a contemporary monochromatic colour palette using white subway wall tiles laid in a brick pattern for the wet areas and large format dark grey floor tiles. For all non wet area affected walls we have installed Hardiegroove wall panels. Underfloor heating has been incorporated to improve the owner’s amenity.

This renovation had to seek approval through Shoalhaven City Council as the property was located in a bushfire prone area and affected by the highest BAL rating, being BA- FZ.
